Are your heating engineers Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every gas engineer in our network is Gas Safe registered and carries their ID card at all times. You can verify any engineer's registration on the Gas Safe Register website using their licence number, which they will show you before starting work.
How often should I have my boiler serviced?
We recommend annual servicing for both gas and oil boilers. This keeps your boiler running efficiently, helps prevent breakdowns, and is typically a requirement for maintaining your manufacturer's warranty. For landlords, an annual gas safety check is a legal requirement.
My boiler is showing an error code. What should I do?
First, try resetting the boiler using the reset button (consult your manual for its location). If the error code returns after resetting, do not attempt further resets — raise a job with us and include the error code in your description. Our engineers are familiar with all major brands and can often diagnose the issue remotely to bring the right parts.
Do you work on oil boilers as well as gas?
Yes. We have OFTEC-registered engineers who specialise in oil-fired heating systems. This is particularly important across rural Cornwall and Devon where many properties are off the mains gas network and rely on oil heating.
How long does a boiler replacement take?
A straightforward like-for-like boiler replacement typically takes one day. If the boiler is being relocated or the system requires significant pipework changes, it may take two days. We will confirm the timeline during the survey and quote stage.
Can you help if my radiators are cold at the bottom?
Cold spots at the bottom of radiators usually indicate a build-up of sludge and debris in the system. Our engineers can carry out a power flush to clean the system, or in some cases a radiator replacement may be more cost-effective. We will diagnose the issue and advise on the best course of action.
